replace kitchen cabinet hinges?

I am replacing the hinges on our kitchen cabinets. I am using Hickory Hardware – Surface – 3/8″ Offset Cabinet Hinge. The hinge matches the old ones and the problem I am running into is that the gap between the door and the frame is large on the hinge side. Any ideas on how to fix the gap. I used the same holes as they lined up the same. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for the updates. I did bring the hinge in and matched it up. It just has a bigger gap between the cabinet and the door. I am going to try to re drill and see
